1. About the Site
I Own This Page Now (the “Site”) belongs to and was created by Elerion s.r.o. (“Elerion”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Site and its ownership-claim service.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing the Site, creating an account, or purchasing a claim, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract. If you act for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.
3. How ownership claims work
A successful purchase makes your submitted profile the current featured owner of the homepage. Your reign has no guaranteed minimum duration and ends when another eligible person successfully purchases the next claim.
The price shown at checkout is the price for your claim and may increase after each successful claim. A claim does not transfer ownership of the Site, domain name, software, brand, or any other Elerion asset. “Ownership” describes only the temporary featured placement provided by the service.
After your reign ends, the Site is designed to retain your public profile in its ownership history. The additional operational rules on the Rules page form part of these terms.
4. Payments, taxes, and refunds
Payments are processed by Polar, which may act as merchant of record and apply its own checkout terms and privacy notice. You must provide accurate billing information and are responsible for any taxes or charges shown at checkout.
A later claim ending your reign is an expected feature of the service and does not by itself entitle you to a refund. Refunds, cancellations, and statutory withdrawal rights are handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms presented at checkout. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Your content
You retain any rights you hold in the display name, biography, avatar, links, and other content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit and publish that content.
You grant Elerion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, display, and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure, and maintain the Site and its public ownership history. This license lasts while the content remains on the Site, subject to applicable law.
6. Prohibited conduct and content
You may not use the Site to:
- publish unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, defamatory, or malicious content;
- link to malware, phishing, scams, unlawful material, or content that creates a security risk;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation, identity, or authority;
- interfere with the Site, bypass security or access controls, scrape it abusively, or attempt unauthorized access; or
- use automated or fraudulent means to manipulate claims, payments, rankings, or traffic.
7. Moderation and account security
We may reject, hide, edit, disable, or remove content or access when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users or the Site, comply with law, or respond to security and reputational risks. Where appropriate, we may suspend or terminate an account or claim.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password, sign-in provider, and private management links. Notify Elerion promptly if you believe your account or claim access has been compromised.
8. Availability and third-party services
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. The Site uses or links to third-party services, including payment, authentication, analytics, hosting, email, font, avatar, and linked-profile providers. Their services and content are governed by their own terms, and Elerion is not responsible for third-party sites you choose to visit.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise any level of traffic, search ranking, sales, publicity, revenue, or other commercial result from a claim or link.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Elerion is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the Site. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid claim will not exceed the amount paid for that claim. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer protections.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without excluding any mandatory protection available to consumers under the law of their country of residence. The competent Slovak courts will have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version and changing the date above. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise. Questions or legal notices may be directed to Elerion s.r.o. using the company contact details recorded in the Slovak Commercial Register.
